Osteopathy is a gentle, comfortable , safe form of treatment and can benefit most types of aches, pains and strains in people of all ages , in all walks of life. We treat the very young to the very elderly.

Each treatment is tailormade to each individual patient using a holistic approach. Osteopathy can be complimentary to many other forms of treatment. (Hence the title Complimentary therapy).

Osteopaths focus on the musculoskeletal system (the bones, joints, muscles and soft connecting tissues ) using a variety of teqhniques including massage, stretching, manipulation and ultrasound therapies. The treatments help to reduce muscle spasm and inflammation, while increasing mobility and help to speed up the bodies own natural healing process.

Osteopaths can diagnose and treat conditions that happen due to injury (including sports injuries), poor posture and work / emotional stresses.

Prevention of the recurrence of injury is a very important factor in our treatment . There are various ways in we can help to prevent injury recurrence with postural, exercise and dietary advice . Some patients decide to have a regular maintance treatment to help prevent future injury, the same way going to your dentist regularly can prevent future problems.
